The bugle sounds.........it's the call to the post. You better hurry......time is running out! No, this is not your typical horse race. In October 2008, NCOG will be launching it's first Trackable Horse Race. The object of this rally is to launch a miniature race horse with a travel bug attached. All of the entries will be collected and placed into Mitchell's Hitchhiker Hotel (GC12MZR) located at the interchange of I-71 / US 36/37 Delaware / Sunbury. The mission? To travel to the west coast, and be dropped into the Groundspeak Headquaters Cache, GCK25B. To win the race, you must be the first horse / tb to arrive, and a photo of the tb / horse must be made with the cache container in the background. Until that photo is posted on your TB page, the race is not over! 1st photo on the TB page wins!
There are a few rules to the event:
1.) Multiple entries are allowed. Enter as many times as you
like.
2.) All entries must be given to Team shawn_woerlein for placement at the
starting cache.
3.) Once entries are made, they will be added to this website. Team shawn_woerlein
and the NCOG crew will keep track of the horses mileage and locations.
4.) After all entries have been received, we will drop them into Cache GC12MZR,
the gates will open, and they will be off and running!
5.) Each participant will not be permitted to move their own TB(s).
6.) The race will be open for 1 year from the starting date. If no entries
have landed in the destination cache at this point, the horse / tb with the
highest mileage will win the event
7.) If the winning TB / Horse finishes at the Destination Cache, a photo must
be taken of this Horse / TB with the Destination Cache in the background.
8.) The winner will be presented with a $25 Groundspeak Gift Certificate,
a certificate for framing, and a "winners" event hosted in your
honor.
